You do this once, in about two minutes. FLUX then reads your Tradier trades itself — every two minutes in market hours, plus the overnight record.
- Sign in at Tradier and open API Settings: web.tradier.com/user/api.
- Copy the Live access token (not the Sandbox one). It does not expire.
- Paste it below and click Connect. FLUX checks it with Tradier straight away and lists your accounts.
This token could place trades in your account. FLUX stores it encrypted and only ever reads with it — it never places, changes or cancels an order. If you ever regenerate the token at Tradier, come back here and use Change token.
You do this once. It takes about five minutes in IBKR’s website (Client Portal) on a computer. You will come away with two numbers — a Query ID and a token — to paste at the bottom of this box.
- Sign in to Client Portal at interactivebrokers.com.
- In the top menu, click Performance & Reports, then Flex Queries.
- The page has two lists. Find the one titled Trade Confirmation Flex Query (not “Activity Flex Query”) and click the + at its right to create a new one.
- Query Name: type FLUX (any name works).
- Sections: click Trade Confirmation. A list of fields opens — tick Select All at the top, then click Save at the bottom of that list.
- Delivery Configuration — set:
Format XML Period Today (IBKR fixes this for Trade Confirmation queries — leave it; FLUX asks IBKR for the dates it needs) - General Configuration — set:
Profit and Loss Default Include Offsetting Trade/Cancel Pairs? No Include Audit Trail Fields? No Display Account Alias in Place of Account ID? No Breakout by Day? No Date Format yyyyMMdd Time Format HHmmss Date/Time Separator ; (semi-colon) - Click Continue (or Save) at the bottom. IBKR shows a summary of the query — click Create / Confirm, then OK.
- You are back on the Flex Queries page. In the Trade Confirmation Flex Query list you now see FLUX.
- Click the ⓘ (info) icon beside FLUX — or look at the Query ID column if your page shows one. The Query ID is a number of about 6–7 digits.
- Copy it into the Query ID box below.
- Still on the Flex Queries page, find Flex Web Service Configuration (a box near the top or bottom of the page) and click its gear / Configure icon.
- Switch Flex Web Service Status on (tick Enabled).
- Under Current Token, click Generate New Token. Choose how long it lasts (the longest offered is simplest — up to a year). Leave the IP address restriction empty.
- Click Save. The token appears — a long number of about 24 digits. Copy it now: IBKR shows it only this once.
- Copy it into the Flex token box below.
Click Link & import. The first import starts straight away; after that, click Import IBKR whenever you want your latest trades. When the token reaches its expiry date, repeat Part 3 and use Change token.
If a menu or button is named a little differently on your screen, the two things to find are Flex Queries (Part 1–2) and Flex Web Service (Part 3), both under Performance & Reports. The token only lets FLUX read this report — it cannot place or change trades — and it is stored encrypted.
Export from your broker, or screenshot your trade history. Nothing is saved until you review it.
